Axis of Logic correspondent, Cherifa Sirry (Egypt), received another unwanted email message from Tarek Heggy, who is described on Wikipedia as an "Egyption liberal political thinker and international petroleum strategist.
Heggy worked for Shell Oil International from 1979 to 1996 and is currently the Founder/Chairman of British-based Tana Petroleum Middle East. He is a favorite speaker to right wing, neocon "think tanks" like the Heritage Foundation, the Hudson Institute, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the National Endowment for Democracy, the American Enterprise Institute, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and the notorious Council on Foreign Relations. He is shamelessly self-aggrandising and self-promoting and has become known among Middle East progressives as an enemy of his own people. Cherifa Sirry writes in response to Heggy's proud announcement that his article is featured on Front Page Magazine, a Zionist, Israel-First website.

Dear Tarek,
I see that you remain as pompous as ever Tarek. You are proud of being on Frontpage Magazine?? This is “eine Schande”* -if you read my German. It would be more elegant if you were on the front page of ‘washwasha’… but I doubt that Horowitz would give you any attention then. You seem to think that all readers are sheople, Tarek, who don’t read through you and bow down to the trying-to-be- NWO (New World Order) as you do. When will you join the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and get your ‘blessings’ from the ‘Illuminati’ unless you think that you already have them? You don't … and you won’t. However much you cuddle up to the neocons and Zionists, you remain nothing in their eyes but a ‘rag-head’ that they are using… and now you have dragged Aqbat al Mahgar into the game thus playing with Egyptian national security.
From what I read here, I would say that Tarek Heggy is instigating sectarian strife in Egypt. Since when did we have a Coptic or Muslim chair at AUC??? (American University in Cairo). We only had EGYPTIAN chairs. Thanks to you we now have a legitimate sectarian divide in AUC and in Egypt.
I will BCC a few reporters and friends on this email. Pushing sectarian strife in Egypt is a matter of National Security and should not just be left to the Israeli Frontline Magazine you are so proud of.
I did ask you not to write to me again Tarek,
Best wishes,
Cherifa Sirry

After delivering a number of lectures on the middle east politics at four of the IVEY (sic) Leauge (sic) universities, I just put the final touches on my newest (and therefore my 22nd book) "The Arab-Culture : Enchained" that will be published here in NY by The Cambridge University Press (CUP). Next week, I attend the commencement of the "Tarek Heggy Scholarship for MA & Ph.D in Comparative Religion" (Jewish/Islamic) Studies at Toronto University (after I co-established The Coptic Studies Chair at The American University in Cairo). Upon concluding my current visit to North America, I head to Italy to receive The 2008 Grinzane Prize. During the Prize award ceremony, I will deliver the speech that is included in the following document :
