Nestor Kirchner, the former president of Argentina, has died of a heart attack at the age of 60.
Kirchner, who was credited for leading Argentina out of economic crisis when he became president in 2003, was later suceeded by his wife Cristina Fernandez-Kirchner.
He was expected to run for president again in 2011.
