Can you hear us calling out from a Freedom of Speech Zone?
We are able to say whatever the F*&# is necessary
so long as it is being emitted from this oxymoronic Zone
of the status quo, a classroom under the supervision
of the corporate-state where learning to count numbers
becomes one brand name cookie, two brand name cookie,
four. . .

Can you see us gathering in a Peaceably To Assemble Zone?
Except in front of a bank, an oxymoronic Zone of waiting lines,
being herded like cattle, and drooling in anticipation
of a lotto ticket for the un-American dream

Can you read what is being written from this Petition
the Government for a Redress of Grievances Zone?
A Zone of banned books, blacked-out text, and data
so sensitive it could awaken your soul

We are battling Constitutional Apartheid

We are wild
despite the fact that our wilderness has fences
with signs: "Keep Out - State Property"

We are as kind as the smiles of kindergarteners,
yes! wild & kind,
an antidote
to oxymorons

Wild & kind fuses,
makes whole —
like fire for cooking,
right-brain-and-left-brain,
the long and the short of it

Wild & kind —
meet us in the middle
