Canadian Chris Hadfield is returning to Earth today. After five months on the International Space Station (ISS) - several of them as commander of the ISS - Hadfield is on his way to a landing in Kazakhstan. He has been very visible for those on the ground, issuing a continuous barrage of Twitter messages and videos of him playing the guitar and singing, including recordings of his own songs and one written with Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies.

As his goodbye to the mission - and the world - here he is reprising David Bowie's classic. And Bowie himself has approved and thinks this is really cool ...
