Last week's protests in Sao Paulo, against public spending on World Cup preparations, ended in violence.
But demonstrators took to the streets again Monday in several major Brazilian cities, both to protest fare hikes for public transportation and to renew the prior week's call for money to be spent on badly needed public services.
