Washington and its NATO allies lied
about Iraq; they lied about Libya; they are lying about Ukraine; and
they are lying about Syria.
There were no Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, but the invasion occurred anyways, thanks to a multitude of lies.
Charles “Chuck” Lewis, founder of the “Center For Public Inquiry” explains in a project appropriately named "False Pretenses"
that “President George W. Bush and seven of his administration’s top
officials made at least 935 false statements about the national security
threat posed by Iraq.
Stealing petroleum resources was not a stated goal of the invasion.
False pretenses also facilitated the invasion of Libya. Associate university professor and author Maximillian C. Forte, in "The Top Ten Myths In The War Against Libya" lists a number of evidence-free accusations promulgated by the “West” as pretexts for invasion:
- Gaddafi is committing genocide
- Gaddafi is “bombing his own people”
- We need to save Benghazi
- Gaddafi is using African mercenaries
- Gaddafi’s forces are engaging in Viagra-fuelled mass rape
- We have a “Responsibility To Protect” Libyans
- Gaddafi is a demon
- “Freedom Fighters” (al Qaeda etc.) are angels
- Gaddafi’s demise is a victory for Libyans
- The “victory” is a defeat for the “Left”
Financial looting and petroleum resources were not stated reasons for this invasion.
Many lies are greasing the war in Ukraine as well.
Investigative journalist Robert Parry describes in "Ready for Nuclear War Over Ukraine?"
that “No European government, since Adolph Hitler’s Germany, has seen
fit to dispatch Nazi storm troopers to wage a war on a domestic
population, but the Kiev regime has, and has done so knowingly ….”
International Financial Institutions
(IFIs), fracking, and monopoly agri-business interests were not part of
the official pretexts for establishing the Kiev regime.
Surely, if people were more aware of
this, the West would have a harder time “selling” this war, and
supplying the illegal Kiev regime.
Outrageous lies and deceptions are also facilitating the invasion of Syria. In "Terrorism With A Human Face: The History Of America's Death Squads"
Dr. Michel Chossudovsky explains, “From the outset in March 2013, the
US and its allies have supported the formation of death squads and the
incursion of terrorist brigades in a carefully planned undertaking.”
Further, he adds that “the formation
of Death Squads in Syria builds upon the history and experience of
US-sponsored terror brigades in Iraq, under the Pentagon’s
“counter-insurgency” program.
Looting of resources and
geo-political reasons such as setting the stage for a war against Iran
were not stated reasons for this invasion.
These government-sponsored lies set
the stage for illegal invasions, the destruction and pillage of target
countries, the mass slaughter of innocent civilians, and global
destabilization --- all for the perceived benefit of the few, and the
certain detriment of the many.
Virulent lies, perpetrated and
embellished by Public Relations (PR) firms, and repeated incessantly by
governing media, create Fear Uncertainty and Doubt (FUD), a common PR
strategy, with a view to conditioning the public to previously-planned,
illegal invasions abroad. And once the invasions start, the false
messaging continues unabated.
Public Relations strategists call it
“Perception Management”, but it is more than that. Propagated lies,
such as those listed above, derogate international principles and
conventions.
Christopher Black explains in “NATO War Propaganda: A Danger To World Peace” ,
that propaganda which incites aggressive war (i.e illegal invasions)
was codified by the International Covenant on Civil and Political
Rights, and was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in
1966.
Article 20 states explicitly :
“1. Any propaganda for war shall be prohibited by law;
2. Any advocacy of national, racial,
religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination,
hostility, or violence shall be prohibited by law.”
Black argues further that the
current media frenzy to bash Russian President Vladimir Putin is
particularly dangerous, since the West is raising the stakes, and
pitting us ever closer to a senseless war with a nuclear-armed country.
He concludes that we must “protest
the constant manipulation of (our) minds towards hatred and violence and
war and demand the full implementation of the international covenants
that prohibit it, and the arrest and trial of those that use it.”
A first step towards this end is to
prevent or repeal State Terror Legislation – which de-politicizes,
infantilizes, and subdues people -- wherever it arises (ie Bill C-51 in
Canada).
Once free from the shackles of State
propaganda and Police State legislation State, we will be better
equipped to address titanic threats, such as global warming, that are
currently being ignored or supressed.
If we choose Life, and Freedom, over
Death and Destruction, we will put an end to imperial conquest, and we
will recognize and end its hidden driver: the globalist predatory
business model.
We are running out of time.
