Why Bernie Sanders Might Accept Jill Stein Offer To Run On a Green Party Ticket in November Printer friendly page Print This

As the Democratic primary winds down to a close, Green Party likely nominee Dr. Jill Stein said she wanted Bernie Sanders supporters to “know that there’s a plan B here to continue to fight that revolution.”

While overly presumptive Republican presidential candidates are rushing to announce potential vice presidential running mates, one presidential candidate is openly courting the idea of a bipartisan unity ticket. Stein, expected to become the party’s nominee at its August convention, says she has invited Sanders to collaborate: ‘Everything is on the table’. Bernie Sanders has been invited to continue his underdog bid for the White House by the Green party’s probable presidential candidate, who has offered to step aside to let him run.

With the fact that Bernie Sanders has at least 43% of the Democrats and 70% of the Independents, which is the largest voting block in the history of America, and with The Green Party working hard to be on more voting ballots in November, why would Bernie decline the opportunity to be President of the United States. The Green Party national convention is two weeks after the Democratic Party convention so if the superdelegates don’t change their minds we have a good reason to believe that Bernie would accept Jill Stein offer and run on a Green Party ticket.

With Sanders clearly not ending his campaign and with Democratic Party rigged primary process he can always try Sanders/Stein ticket.

With the likelihood of Bernie Sanders' losing to Hillary Clinton increasing, the idea that Bernie would endorse Hillary has to be a painful one for many Bernie supporters.

Bernie has accused the Clinton campaign of finance law violations, suggested that she is not qualified to be President because of her judgment to align with Super-PAC’s.

We can see Individual Rights and Domestic issues views of both of them as an example but they do agree in every other political question.
