Re: Violence in the US

The news has been filled - seemingly for years - with news reports about shootings in the US. These range from just your average everyday 'I'm pissed off at someone' shootings, through racially motivated killings, police killings, mass shootings [apparently, you don't qualify as a mass killer unless you do in at least 4 people - underachievers need not apply], and 'for no reason at all' killings. Not a day goes by ...

Each and every one is a tragic situation that never needed to happen. Where the perpetrators are the defenders of the public (i.e. the police), there is always an attempted cover-up and/or a refusal to charge police with crimes.

The US is very much like a serious highway accident - it's horrible and pointless, but it's hard not to look at it and be grateful it isn't you.

We'll cover these events from time to time, but there are just not enough hours in the day to keep up with it all.

Just thought we should let you know why these stories don't end up on our website very often.
