Bush and Uribe nominated for the 2008 Award for Ignominy

The Latin American extension of the Global Corporate Empire has, for the last 7-8 years, been run by George W. Bush and his pupil Álvaro Uribe. The duo now appear to have tired of having their stupidity and stubborness exposed like dirty laundry before the world. Their attempts to involve Venezuela in such bullshit as drug trafficking and terrorism have come to naught. Their failure to remove President Chávez as the mediator in the Colombian peace process have led them into another international fiasco in the Republic of Bolivia - Bolivia, the favorite son of the Liberator, Simón Bolívar and the land of the Aymaras.

It looks as if neither president will end their terms without winning this prize for stupidity and stubborness. It's a new award created and authorized by the anti-imperialist peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean with the aim of recognizing the most nescient rulers. The award is just and well-deserved for all the efforts they have made, almost on a daily basis, to eliminate President Hugo Chávez. It has been their way of stopping the progress of the Bolivarian Revolution which is the pillar of integration and advancement of the Latin American people.

We predict that if tomorrow, May 4, the Bush-Uribe-backed oligarchs in Bolivia, vote in the illegal referendum to cut the gas rich state of Santa Cruz, Pando, Beni and Tarija out of the heart of Bolivia they will be met with a powerful response. Our Bolivian indigenous brothers will rise up and resort to fighting in their loincloths, if necessary, to resist this new assault on their national sovereignty. At the moment, the Bolivian resistance have fallen silent and appear to be submissive and subdued in the face of all the insults of the rancid oligarchs. The oligarchs have used the "excellent" services of the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) to mold world public opinion and deploy a media terrorism which maintains that the Bolivian people are "happily divided".

But indigenous blood will boil over if this attempt to divide Bolivia is put into operation. They will respond as one because President Evo Morales is the only Indian who has become a symbol of hope for a people neglected for hundreds of years. All that remains to be said is that the stupidity of trying to dismember Bolivia (a coup d'état) is most welcome because it will touch the fiber of the Bolivian people with profundity. In other words "the Indians will go on the warpath" and hand out another sound defeat to the Empire and its Colombian pupil.

This will be a clarion call to all the indigenous peoples of the continent and the Bolivarian Revolution will continue along its victorious path.
