Dear Senator Obama,
While I was delighted that someone other than the notorious Senator Clinton was being chosen by the Democratic Party as its candidate for the Presidential Election in November, and that you were reported to be a lawyer in favour of justice for the oppressed, I was horrified to learn that you had spoken in favour of its vicious aims at a meeting of the terrorist support group known as AIPAC.
From your demeanour and from other declarations made by Senator Clinton and by Senator McCain, it appears that the USA, for all its vaunted super-power status, is in fact ruled by the Zionists to the extent that any candidate wishing to be adopted by either of your monolithic parties has to obtain the approval of AIPAC before he or she has any serious chance of competing for the presidency.
On our side of the Atlantic, we are well aware of the efficiency of the Zionist propaganda machine in feeding disinformation to the masses, but the subjection of the choice of candidates in your own elections to this particular foreign lobby group shows that its power has exceeded the bounds of decency. It therefore seems to me obvious that you have an assumption that those likely to vote for you will have had the truth very cleverly hidden from them by the Zionists whose supremacist régime has slavishly adopted the racist theories so strongly supported by Wilhelm Marr, Theodor Herzl, Adolf Hitler and David Gruen (who later changed his name to Ben Gurion).
It may even be that you are yourself unaware of the full horror of the post-war episode of the racist holocaust started by the Nazis and now continued by their highly effective pupils, the Zionists. You must therefore be asked to state clearly why you give your backing to their continuing programme of apartheid and ethnic cleansing, which since the Second World War has caused several million Palestinians to become homeless refugees, either in tightly limited and enclosed parts of their own land or elsewhere.
In today's world where we are all capable of having access to information about events everywhere in the world, it is only laziness or a stubborn refusal to face the truth that can explain how any educated well-informed person does not know of these current horrors, and it is time for you to tell potential voters why you are so abjectly willing to support such blatant and murderous persecution and oppression.
Many of us hoped that you would bring a welcome overdue change to politics in the USA, but, by declaring such support for oppression, you have only proved to us that you are no more free to support freedom and democracy than the worst of your opponents. In other words, you have become a grave disappointment to all lovers of freedom and equality, which values should apply both before the law and in all aspects of everyday life.
Yours in deep sorrow,
Robert Thompson
