Dear Les,

I have read many of your articles relating to your truth for justice. This includes the Palestinians, displaced peoples and human rights violations, both by the likes of Bush and Mugabe. There is however, one area where the Axis is silent. This is in the area of the land that the USSR stole from Finland during the second world war. The UK had a double standard for Hitler and Stalin. When the two tyrants invaded and carved up Poland, the UK and France only declared war on Germany, thus appeasing the USSR. Stalin, not Hitler committed the next act of agression. It invaded Finland. It forced Finland to give the USSR Karelia and a diamond shaped piece of land in the middle of the border between the 2 countries. Thousands of Finns migrated westward to avoid living under Stalin's Iron Fist rule. Stalin's excuse for taking the land was that he needed it to protect the port of Leningrad. In 1941, Finland joined Germany, Italy, Hungary and Romania in invading the USSR. Churchill declared war on Finland, who only joined the Germany in the hopes of getting back the land that Stalin stole from that country. To FDR's credit, he never asked for a declaration of war against Finland. Finland was a parliamentary democracy with complete religious freedom. It didn't take part in the holocaust. After Hitler invaded Denmark, many Danish Jews went to and were given sanctuary in Finland, including Victor Borge. I call on you and the axis to work to right a wrong that Stalin commit in World War II and call on Russia to give Finland back the land that Stalin stole from Finland.
