
Nineteen fiction films will be shown in the Venezuelan cinemas for the first time this year, which are expected to be shown until November.
Furthermore, Sesto informed there are other fiction films that now are being post-produced and probably they will also be shown in 2008, such as Desautorizados, produced by Elia Scheneider; El Círculo, produced by Carmen La Roche; La Virgen Negra, produced by Ignacio Castillo; and Cuidado con lo que sueñas, produced by Gayka Urdaneta.
In addition, 19 Venezuelan documentaries are also expected to be shown, which totalize 21 movies of this genre together with Más Allá de la Cumbre, by Juan López; and María Lienza, Aliento de Orquídeas by Jonh Pentrezzelli, which are already in local cinemas.
Coming soon Venezuelan cinemas will show documentaries such as Cuba, el valor de una utopia, by Yanara Guayasamin; Memorias del gesto, by Andrés Giusti; La reina del pueblo, by Juan Andrés Bello; Palabra de Mujer, by César Cortez; Otro Mundo Nuevo, by Marc Villá, among others.
During the second trimester of the year the following movies will be enjoyed by Venezuelan people and film lovers: Libertador Morales, El Justiciero, by Efterpi Charalambidis; Macuro, by Hernán Jabes; Senderos, by Alfredo Hueck; Carlos Caridad, Bambi C4, by Eduardo Barberena; Comando X, by José Antonio Varela; Amaneció Naranja, by Alejandra Szeplaki; Un té en la Habana; by Fina Torres; and Zamora, by Román Chalbaud.
All this productions received support of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, through the state-of-the-art production house Villa del Cine, and financing of the Cinematographic National Center (CNAC).
