Open letter to Senator John McCain

Dear Senator McCain,

You now know who is likely to be your establishment opponent in the Tweedledum and Tweedledee presidential election in November, and you also know that he, as is customary, broadly supports the same interests as you do.

However much you may protest, you cannot deny that if you should be the next President of the USA your administration would represent what the commentators have already called the third Bush term.   You have shown servility in giving your approval to the disastrous Bush war against the people of Iraq, and you are also willing to continue the current threats to Iran, neither of which countries has ever represented any threat to the genuine interests of the USA.

Your servility goes even further when it comes to the Zionist apartheid régime in the Holy Land, where your erstwhile "friend" and supporter, Mr John C. Hagee, spoke in your name to give the fullest backing to the basic policy of ethnic cleansing which is the essential and fundamental element of Zionism.   You have since, when addressing AIPAC, confirmed this support for the murderous oppression exercised by the Zionists, being well aware that AIPAC acts to pass on the orders which you must obey to have its approval as a presidential candidate.   It is a mere detail that Mr Hagee's choice of words when you prefer to cloak your joint policies on many points have caused you, in order to make yourself more acceptable to decent folk, to appear to demarcate yourself from him and his demagogic declarations.

In the outside world which is genuinely democratic and republican, we are aware that the only effect of your policies will be to drag the USA's standing still further down than your close ally, Mr George W. Bush, has so far managed, whether we look at economics or at good governance.   You have also strongly supported his ridiculous "War on Terror", whose main aim remains to reduce the basic freedoms of your own people, and has nothing whatsoever to do with removing the very real danger of revenge attacks in reaction to the many misdeeds by the USA in various areas of the world.

The Bush régime, which you are so anxious to prolong, has brought the USA into disrespect throughout the world through its total lack of morality when it comes face to face with anything which appears to threaten the power of the corporate bosses who control your puppet rulers.   No Orwellian mouthing of the words "Freedom" and "Democracy" can hide this hypocrisy from those outside your nation's frontiers, whatever you may be able to hide by disinformation within them.

We are all only too well aware that you have no wish to give any support either to genuine freedom or to genuine democracy anywhere in the world, especially inside the USA, where the Patriot Acts of which you are so fond are designed to keep ordinary honest folk as servile workers and cannon fodder for your pointless wars and threats of wars.

So far as threats of wars are concerned, you are also on record as being willing to attack Iran, which has never offered any threat whatsoever to your own country's genuine interests, and it seems obvious to us that the sole reason for this is that your Zionist controllers want such an attack, to ward off any attempt by their victims to recover their property, homes and lands stolen in the Holy Land.

All these sad points drive me to ask you to examine your conscience and to consider the possiblity of converting to Christianity, which should then lead you to proclaiming the message of peace given to us by our loving and merciful God.   This is surely better than the hatred being spread by the High Priests of Mammon who are counting on being able to use you to rule the USA and all other parts of the world subject to their imperial tyranny.

Yours with a prayer for your conversion,

Robert Thompson
