Why do some still support Racism ?
By Robert Thompson

I can start these reflections by saying quite bluntly that racism should always be condemned and that, to be quite blunt, I consider it totally immoral.   All men and women are human-beings, however badly they may behave, and every single one of them is entitled to be treated as such with dignity.

In my life-time, and still nowadays, we have seen the most horrible forms of racism, from the directly murderous forms legalised by the Nazis (and copied by the Zionists) to the idea of apartheid (delicately described as separate development) invented by the former régime in South Africa (and enforced in the Holy Land with even greater ferocity by the Zionists).   Between these extremes we have seen the form once prevalent in the former 'slave states' in the USA against any 'non-whites' and that now operated by Mr Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe against any 'non-blacks'.   These intermediate forms of racism have, almost inevitably, also involved many deaths and vicious physical injuries, but they do not now have the popular support of ordinary voters in what we usually think of as democratic countries, such as ours.

On the other hand, the directly murderous racism applied so ruthlessly by the Zionists in Palestine and the other territories which they occupy allied with their strict enforcement of apartheid (and its inevitable accompanying ethnic cleansing) seem to be generally accepted by the rulers of most of our countries, if not very strongly and powerfully supported as they are by the Bush régime and others wishing to please it.

It is easy to point out that they have brilliant persuasive powers, and a magnificent propaganda system, making Orwellian misuse of such events as the mass murders committed by the Nazis whose methods they have adopted.

However much we go on arguing that this is contrary to any philosophically acceptable logic, the bellowing voices of the enemies of decency still succeed in drowning out the still small voice of logic.

It thus behooves us to seek some other way of bringing the truth to the voters and all other people who have any power, and this is the challenge which all decent folk must face if they are to bring peace and justice back to the Holy Land and to its neighbours.

For me, perhaps because I am a simple soul, it is hard to swallow that Senator Barack Obama, who has surely had to overcome massive racist opposition, should, immediately after he had been effectively assured of adoption as the candidate for the (oddly named) Democratic Party for the presidency of the USA, make declarations of everlasting support for the most openly racist entity in the world.

This brings me to make my own challenge to all decent folk to find a way to destroy the falsehoods behind this vile form of racism, which we have seen exemplified by some of the more extraordinarily rabid statements made by the excessively wealthy preacher, Mr John C. Hagee, in the USA (still no doubt a strong supporter of Senator John McCain), and to end the brain-washing of all ordinary citizens by spokesmen such as these.

If we could once end the brain-washing, we might also be able to end the ethnic cleansing.   I appreciate that both expressions imply that the objects (i.e. the ordinary people's brains in the one case and the victims in the other) are in some way unclean, when we know full well that ordinary people are often denied access to the truth and that victims are usually powerless to free themselves from oppression.

Perhaps we should challenge more frequently the purveyors of falsehoods, but this is admittedly difficult in an atmosphere where the powerful are too often fully behind their propagation.   This is an example of the importance to liberty of such means of expression as Axis of Logic and all other web-sites around the world which endeavour to break the wall of silence on every and any abuse of our freedoms.

Well, my challenge is there, and I would be most humbly grateful to anyone who can find a way to circumvent (and ultimately kill off) the oppressors' propaganda.
