Venezuela Supports Bolivian Government and People

A solidarity agreement endorsed by the Venezuelan National Assembly rejects the political-territorial division and condemns the participation of foreign actors trying to meddle in the Bolivian and Latin American democratic process.

As the Bolivian President Evo Morales Ayma was invited as the honorary speaker at the National Assembly in the commemorative ceremony for the 197th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of Venezuela, an Agreement of Solidarity with the Bolivian Government and People was endorsed by the National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

This agreement expresses the most decisive support to and solidarity with the government of the government of Evo Morales Ayma and its institutions.

Likewise, it calls on the Bolivian opposition sectors to acknowledge the legitimacy of the democratic institutions of the national public power, and to avoid actions that could disturb the social peace, democratic life and unity of the nation.

Regarding a possible division of the country into independent provinces, it rejects all ambitions to attack the Bolivian democratic institutions and the political-territorial unity.

Also, it strongly condemns foreign actors ambitions to meddle in the democratic processes of the Latin American fraternal nations, especially Bolivia.

The document endorsed by the Venezuelan National Assembly also calls on the Venezuelan citizens to express their solidarity with the Bolivian people and their democratic process by resorting to peaceful actions in Venezuelan soil.

During his speech, President Evo Morales pointed out that the current transformations undertaken by his country are unstoppable.

Likewise, he was confident that most Bolivians will approve the new Constitution and defeat the campaign against it.

There is a Revolution in Bolivia. The countries of the world, the countries of our America and beyond mist understand it. Its enough of so much colonialism and so many violations, said the Venezuelan president.

Later, President Hugo Chvez recalled the close historical and cultural ties between both countries and ratified his solidarity with the so-called favorite daughter of Bolivia, whose Republican life began in 1826.

Prior to the ceremony at the National Assembly, the Bolivian and Venezuelan presidents paid honors to Simn Bolvar, The Liberator, whose mortal remains lie in the National Pantheon, and attended the traditional civic-military parade in Paseo Los Prceres, a monumental complex of historical monuments honoring the National Heroes of Venezuelas Independence, in Caracas, Venezuelas capital city.
