Lizzie Phelan reporting from Tripoli, (scroll down) August 23, 2011

Editor's Intro: Lizzie Phelan is one of the courageous independent journalists who were inside the Rixos Hotel, along with corporate media reporters, all protected by the Libyan military as battles raged outside the hotel earlier this month. The corporate media portrayed them as being held hostage by the Libyan soldiers and refuse to publish reports by independent journalists like Lizzie. The Libyan soldiers finally found a way to give the Rixos reporters safe passage to a waiting Red Cross vehicle.

Lizzie is now safely out of Libya, able to begin telling us what she witnessed during her time under the NATO bombardment and savage attacks by the US/NATO-backed mercenaries. In this video, she tells of her visit to Zlitan where NATO slaughtered at least 85 civilians in Majer, Zlitan. The massacre was executed by British war planes. Lizzie asks us to witness the remains of Mustafa al-Mrabet's house which was bombarded by NATO killing his wife and two small children. She also interviews Fatah, whose son Walid was assassinated with 3 of his friends by a NATO apache gunship as they drove for their evening meal. Lizzie Phelan's website, "Lizzie's Liberation" has been removed from the internet.
