Status of the Union Quo
The portions are supersized
but the work force downsized. In laboratories edible genes get tampered
while blue jeans are sold torn, then hampered. The outlets of supermarkets and malls
hording the plunder of conquistadors' gall.Too much gets divided and conquered
by the sociopathologically bonkers.About a billion stuffed and a billon starved,
if you're going to eat turkey it should be shared, not carved. To be cool all that matters is having a latte with a hottie,
but for those surviving just finding a place to go potty,
and for the poor that the workmanship ain't shoddy
& have you noticed some people acting too roboty
forgetting the spirit ― fixating on the body.Jesus with his long hair was a gender bender,
living the truth his main agenda.
If he were here today he'd rip the tables asunder
in the temples of the greedy, short selling hedge-funders.Some folks sing and got the moves like Jagger,
but the ones to watch out for move like Swaggart,
they razzle-dazzle with vehement gesticulation
and the fevered pitch of a superior rat race nation.
