A Harley biker was riding by the zoo in Winnipeg, Manitoba one day when he saw a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabbed her by the collar of her jacket and tried to pull her inside while her screaming parents stood frozen in fear.

The biker jumped off his Harley, ran to the cage, and hit the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Shocked, and whimpering from the blow, the lion jumped back letting go of the girl. The biker scooped her up and took her to her terrified parents who thanked him endlessly.

A reporter had watched the entire event and she approached the biker saying, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.'

The Harley rider replied, 'Well, it weren't no big deal. The lion was behind bars. Anybody would have done the same thing.'

The reporter replied, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist for the Big City newspaper, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page. So, tell me, what do you do for a living and what political affiliations do you have?'

The biker replied, 'I'm a Canadian Soldier and a Conservative, ma'am.'

The journalist thanked him for the interview and left.

The following morning the biker bought the newspaper paper out of curiosity. The headline on the front of the paper read:

CANADIAN SOLDIER ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT, STEALS HIS LUNCH!
