We are currently in Sicily preparing for the boats in this year’s ‘Just Future for Palestine’ mission to depart for the last leg to Gaza after more than 2 months and 15 European ports. Five times boats successfully reached Gaza (in 2008) and we must maintain the hope that it can be done again with this Flotilla. The ever increasing urgency on the ground in Gaza is finally getting the world’s attention – hence we are also bringing medical supplies – and perhaps this is the year the illegal blockade is finally broken. But to do this we need our amazing network of passionate people to amplify the work of this year’s participants, crew and supporters in and out of ports that we have visited and passed through as well as across the world. You can help by: 1. Using the latest media release Freedom flotilla press release as a tool to contact your local, regional, or national media. Additional resources/information here at About us, FAQ, Participants 2. Contacting your elected representatives and ask them to contact the Israeli Government to demand our unarmed boats, containing medical supplies can travel without interference to Gaza. 3. Following us: Facebook – FreedomFlotillaCoalition Twitter - @GazaFFlotilla Instagram - @gazafreedomflotilla And encouraging others to spread the word using hashtags #ShiptoGaza #FreedomFlotilla #CountdownToGaza. You can also share videos and pictures – there are many on our facebook/freedomflotilla page, using those same tags and if a new post - @freedomflotillacoalition 4. Hold an activity now and/or 28 July (second Saturday, close to our estimated approach to Gaza) to demand that our boats can travel safely to Gaza and that the blockade be ended permanently. 5. Donate to one of our partners. Thank you for all that you have done and all that you can do now. Follow our boats’ progress here.
