| Venezuela, a sovereign democratic country, is once again the focus of the U.S. and its new president, Joe Biden. The U.S. foreign policy articulated by Antony Blinken, Biden's Secretary of State, having expressed frustration that American policy has not succeeded in toppling Venezuela's President Maduro has said specifically that his foreign policy will consist of “seeking to increase pressure on the regime led by a brutal dictator.” The American Empire continues to be aggressively hostile and focused on overthrowing the government of Nicolas Maduro. Biden will continue with the subversion of Venezuelan sovereignty. Ever since Hugo Chavez who was elected president in 1999 - continuing to be elected and re-elected through to 2013, except for a brief period in 2002 and following the adoption of a new constitution creating a participatory democracy, Chavez proceeded to implement social programs to expand access to food, housing, healthcare and education. He nationalized key industries, taking his country's resource wealth back from the U.S. and other western neoliberal oligarchies whose power, economically, politically and culturally Venezuela was then ruled by. Hugo Chavez died in 2013 and Nicolas Maduro was elected and continues to be the elected the president of Venezuela. He has continued on with what Chavez called Bolivarianism and Socialism of the 21st century. Venezuela’s vast resource wealth, now in the hands of the Venezuelan people and once mainly controlled by the U.S. is the number one reason that the U.S. continues to attempt overthrowing the Maduro government. The U.S. once again wants control of Venezuela’s wealth. The essence of U.S. foreign policy is to travel the world, plundering the wealth of sovereign nations, vulnerable in size and defence capabilities and because of its almost infinite wealth, Venezuela is the jewel in the imperial crown of The American Empire. The propaganda against Venezuela by Biden and his imperial cronies, which usually precedes a U.S. coup is based on outright lying and it’s meant mainly for American consumption. There are 2 parts to the lying that the American public has accepted without question. The first part involves calling Maduro a brutal dictator, who is lacking in basic respect for human rights, limiting freedom of the press and assembl - a - thug according to Biden who governs by using violence and oppression. The second part consists of their government telling its citizens that because the Venezuelan people are so desperately crying out for freedom and democracy, the U.S., whose citizens are free, must understand that their government - known for its global humanity - should just remove Nicolas Maduro the ruthless tyrant and liberate the Venezuelan people. Is that not the noblest of things we as Americans can do? Can we, who are the oldest democracy in the world not bring the gift of democracy to those who suffer under dictatorships. Of course we can. What role then do the American people play in their government's imperial foreign policy? They allow their government to define the political system of individual countries including their own. They do not understand that their governments global militarism is for the sole purpose of world domination. They think that their government bringing democracy and freedom to countries allegedly in need of it is a good and noble thing. Even if it were true, which it isn’t, they do not think to ask by what right does their government have to interfere in another country's sovereignty. Their unquestioning acceptance of their government's imperial foreign policy is a danger to any sovereign country whose government is being targeted to be overthrown by the U.S. government. The essential role that the American people play in allowing their government to overthrow sovereign governments, including plundering these countries wealth, is one of indifference. The key word here is 'allow'. By virtue of their remaining ignorant, accepting the propaganda and lies their government spews daily and living in a bubble of self proclaimed myths about their own national identity, they have allowed their government to destroy sovereign countries, destroying millions of innocent people’s lives, creating daily humanitarian crises the likes and scale of which the MSM must keep hidden from view. The Venezuelan people who are probably one of the most politically, economically and culturally astute people in the world, are at the mercy of one of the most deceptive, brutal and thieving governments, the U.S. government. And U.S. citizens, through ignorance and apathy, are allowing this very same government in their name to plan the attempted control and destruction of the Venezuelan people's thriving dynamic participatory democracy. The U.S. criminal cabal serving as a government is like a monster wearing a superman’s cape. If the American people would just remove the superman cape they would begin to see the monster, hiding behind the cape. It’s a start, and the American people owe it to themselves and the Venezuelan people to start seeking the truth.
