Editor's Note: I was blessed to "meet" Betty Molchany through the massive exchange of email among the millions of those "dissidents" prior to and leading up to the U.S. slaughter in Iraq. She is one of the many wonderful people out there, enlightening the masses about human rights, the immorality of war and racism. Much of her self-sacrificing work consists of writing letters to politicians and editors of the corporate media. Her courage, persistence and hard work are to be admired and serve as an example to us all. Here is one of the hundreds of letters she has written - this time to the Editor of the Tucson Citizen. - Les Blough

Michael A. Chihak, Editor
Tuscon Citizen
Dear Mr. Chihak:
It's not many who are strong enough to say "I erred,' so I am especially appreciative of your self-chastisement for publishing the letter promoting the execution of Muslims.
The letter writer's later statement that he meant execution only for Iraqi Muslims reveals his lack of knowledge that this practice has been in effect since the massacre of Iraq began, with US soldiers deciding individually what justice should be, ranging from execution to destroying farms, homes, and even the cars of cab drivers. When Paul Bremer ordered the killing of any Iraqi (note that US military are excepted) caught looting, he was exacting a punishment which would never be applied in the US for theft. The severity of US behavior against Iraqis which has included killing those who are merely voicing opposition to US presence as well as bystanders will only strengthen the will of Iraqis against the US. And rightly so.
Videos and photographs, as well as eye-witness written accounts, of such US behavior are available on the internet and from the foreign press. This is what the US media should be publishing. Then, perhaps, American hatred for Iraqis might wither, if the hatred hasn't already been too deeply internalized.
