Carmina Burana (Latin: Songs of Beuren) is a cantata composed by Carl Orff in 1935-1936. The complete title is "Carmina Burana: Songs for lay singers and choruses to be sung with a huge number of instruments and magic images."
(“BenedictBeuren” is the full name of the monastery where the manuscript apparently remained hidden for hundreds of years.)
