Vandana Shiva provides insight and action on this subject in the video that follows. Among her statements two things stand out as hallmarks of Axis of Logic's philosophy. The first is and I quote,

"You do not measure the fruit of your action. You measure the obligation of your action."

The second is,

"You cannot sell the same problems through the same mindset you face."

On the first point, at Axis of Logic we do not measure the effectiveness of our work by statistics showing the number of our readers. We just try to do the right thing. On the Vandana's second point we do not adopt the mindset of our foes when responding to their destructive actions. Rather, we try to respond from a different consciousness - one that comes from the earth and "true self.".

Bill talks to scientist and philosopher Vandana Shiva, who’s become a rock star in the global battle over genetically modified seeds. These seeds -- considered “intellectual property” by the big companies who own the patents -- are globally marketed to monopolize food production and profits. Opponents challenge the safety of genetically modified seeds, claiming they also harm the environment, are more costly, and leave local farmers deep in debt as well as dependent on suppliers. Shiva, who founded a movement in India to promote native seeds, links genetic tinkering to problems in our ecology, economy, and humanity, and sees this as the latest battleground in the war on Planet Earth.
