John Kerry magically comes up with "new evidence" of chemical weapons ahead of UN Inspector's report Printer friendly page Print This

On Sunday, John Kerry, US Secretary of State announced that "new evidence" of the use of chemical weapons in Syria has been discovered "through samples that were provided to the United States and that have now been tested from first responders in East Damascus, and hair samples and blood samples have tested positive for signatures of sarin."

It's obviously pure unrefined bullshit.

Fearful that the results found by UN inspectors in the week past will contradict US charges of the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government, the Obama regime has been busy fabricating evidence to destroy Syria exactly as the Bush regime did in 2003 to justify the US destruction of Iraq.

In August UN inspectors conducted, “a wide range of fact-finding activities” at the site of an alleged chemical attack outside the Syrian capital city of Damascus. The UN inspectors have taken the samples to The Hague which will be moved to two laboratories in Europe, according to U.N. spokesman Martin Nesirky on Saturday. Nesirky vowed that "impartial and credible" assessments will be conducted to determine whether or not chemical weapons have been used. However, he could not say exactly how long it would take to process the samples assessment. But that's not fast enough for those who demand war instead of peace. They also know that the results of the UN inspection may not support their claims even though the US initially called for the inspections and later tried to sabotage them.

Kerry claims that the "new evidence" discovered came from "first responders" thus covering Washington's earlier claim that the UN inspection had no merit because they said the government of President Bashar al-Assad destroyed  whatever evidence there may have been - a scientific impossibility. After the UK Parliament defeated Cameron's demand for war and fearful of the upcoming vote in the US congress, the Obama regime moves to trump all: the will of its own citizens, the United Nations, the British Parliament, the Russian and Chinese governments, and condemnation of the great majority of the world population.

Lie upon sickening lie, manifold lies - as the US government insults world intelligence to justify bombing Syria. In reality, their lies aren't even meant to convince anyone; rather, they are a simple transparent cover of the willful arrogance of a murderous regime to continue on their bloody path for world domination.

Underlining that arrogance, Kerry stated that Obama "believes we need to move, he's made his decision. Now it's up to the Congress of the United States to join him." Fearful that the US Congress will follow the example set by the British Parliament and the will of the people, Kerry stated bluntly, "He has the right to do that no matter what the Congress does."

But only the fools are fooled. The great majority of the people in the United States and the world know these monsters for what they are and no lie regardless of how big or how often it's told can change that.

Additionally, two things must be said: The first is that United States and their corporate media have bypassed the central question of whether they have the moral or legal right to attack Syria in any circumstance. The second is the all-too-obvious question - How could a single attack with sarin possibly compare with the the missiles, phospherous bombs and depleted uranium launched from the air and sea on the poor people of Syria? The Obama regime has also lied to cover the their own killing of civilians by claiming their attack will be with precision guided missiles, striking only military targets. Remember the TV news shows of "surgical strikes" with one missile going down the smokestack of a building in Baghdad on March 19, 2003 - and later the actual aftermath of "shock and awe?"

Regardless of if chemical weapons were used and who may have used them in a single Syrian location, how does it compare with the US destruction of Iraq, Libya or for that matter the firebombing of Dresden and the world's only nuclear massacre on Nagasaki and Hiroshima 68 years ago? All of these US/British-led bombings have killed millions and left people nations-wide to suffer with permanent injuries, cancer and genetic defects for generations into the future.

Join the hundreds of thousands who will be descending on Washington D.C. next Saturday, September 7 to demand that the US Congress votes to stop the madness.

And now the push for war by the US government-controlled media:

Kerry cites new evidence Syria used sarin gas

The United States has new evidence showing that the government of Syria used the nerve gas sarin against its own people, Secretary of State John Kerry said Sunday.

Kerry said on news programs Sunday that the U.S. has received hair and blood samples that have "tested positive for signatures of sarin," a deadly nerve agent first developed in Germany in the 1930s.

"In the last 24 hours, we have learned through samples that were provided to the United States and that have now been tested from first responders in East Damascus, and hair samples and blood samples have tested positive for signatures of sarin," Kerry said on NBC's Meet the Press.

On CNN's State of the Union, Kerry laid out the same case, and noted that the new evidence came not from United Nations inspectors but from independent channels. Kerry said the new evidence boosts President Obama's call for Congress to approve military action against Syria. "I believe the case for action will get stronger by the day."

The administration continues to avoid saying that there is 100% proof of its case against Syrian President Bashar Assad. "The word 'slam-dunk' should be retired from American national security issues," Kerry told NBC host David Gregory.

"We are saying that the high confidence that the intelligence community has expressed and the case that I laid out the other day is growing stronger by the day," Kerry said on NBC. "We know where this attack came from. We know exactly where it went. We know what happened exactly afterwards."

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention describes sarin as "a human-made chemical warfare agent classified as a nerve agent. Nerve agents are the most toxic and rapidly acting of the known chemical warfare agents." Sarin was developed as a pesticide, and it works by blocking an enzyme that serves as the "off-switch" for the body's glands and muscles, sending normal bodily systems into constant activity. Eventually victims can no longer breathe.

On Saturday, President Obama said he had decided the United States should launch a military attack against Syria in retaliation for an Aug. 21 chemical weapons attack in the Damascus suburbs. But he said he would first ask Congress to approve the use of military force.

The House and Senate will both vote on the resolution soon after their return from recess Sept. 9.

Kerry said in several Sunday appearances that Obama believes congressional approval will make the nation stronger and give the Pentagon more flexibility in pursuing military options against Syria.

"He believes we need to move, he's made his decision. Now it's up to the Congress of the United States to join him in affirming the international norm with respective enforcement against the use of campaign weapons," Kerry said.

He said the White House does not expect Congress to vote against the use of force, but he also indicated that the president is not waiving his right to act if Congress does not.

"He has the right to do that no matter what the Congress does," Kerry said on CNN.
