Garden of Thorns
Tepco used chemical weapons.
Big-Ag-Farm uses chemical weapons.
Big-Pharma uses chemical weapons.
Big Oil uses chemical weapons.
Hyper Hydro-fracking is a chemical weapon.
King Coal is a chemical weapon.
Depleted Uranium is a chemical weapon . . .
Meanwhile back in the Thorn Garden,
Biden-his-time stood by silently, grimacing toughly,
as the Potus postured, itching hard for war
HOWEVER
in a stunning reversal, stated,
(simply abiding by the Constitution)
by the grace of God, er,
His-and-Hers Majesty the UK
he would seek Congressional approval
(to meddle once again in other people's lives)
business as usual, unusual.
Caught up in the drama of the moment,
in the he-said-he-didn't-said of it all,
let us not forget the hundreds
of treaties broken with the Native Peoples,
the Tuskegee syphilis experiment,
the Japanese-American internment camps,
Appalachian mountaintop removal . . .
When even one treaty is honored,
when even one bomb is left un-detonated,
when even one fighter pilot just says "No!"
when even one TV news reporter cries out "What for?!"
when even one Islamophobic offers condolences
for the already ~100,000 Syrians killed,
when enough Congress people vote against the war
AND the Potus abides by that,
only then will a real rose
begin to grow
from the thorns.
