John Pilger wins the International Journalism Prize at the Press Club of Mexico

John Pilger has been awarded the International Journalism Prize by the Press Club of Mexico in the XLIV National and International Competition of Journalism, founded in 1951 by Antonio Saenz de Miera.
The citation reads, "The exclusive interview with WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, through which international public opinion was able to ascertain the extent of the key issues of the current political situation [is] journalism that allows people to defend themselves against powerful, clandestine forces."
The interview with Julian Assange last October, made for Dartmouth Films and broadcast by RT.
