This war started 8 years ago. As dastardly as it could be, Ukrainian soldiers came to Donbass to kill peaceful people who dared express their opinion. It was their own fellow countrymen who arrived in tanks to kill them. And they, the inhabitants of Donbass, did not believe what was happening as they even tried to stop those tanks with their bare hands.

Russia did not start this war. It was started by Ukraine against its own people. The West deliberately propped up Ukraine with financial aid and weapons; American ‘historians” rewrote Ukrainian history, fanning the nationalist and chauvinist frenzy; Ukrainian militants were trained in military camps of Poland and Estonia - the future killers of their countrymen. Military instructors and a rabble of psychopaths for whom murder is the main purpose of life poured into Ukraine.

The carnage has begun. All those eight long years Donbass has been trying to shout into your plugged ears. For eight years it cried out: look at our destroyed cities and villages, look at babies with shrapnel wounds in their little bodies, look at our people killed by Ukrainian soldiers ...

We screamed: Stop the genocide of Donbass!

But the West kept plugging its ears and closing its eyes.

The West has chosen Russia for the role of the aggressor here and should be blamed for what it did or it didn’t. It’s understandable, as Russia possesses most of the main resources on earth, which the West needs to get close to.

As for Donbass... What about Donbass? If it had been “cleaned up” according to the Croatian scenario, as the Ukrainian government openly threatened, the West would rather have not noticed.

Eight years is a long time. For these eight long years, the residents of Gorlovka have been going to work in the morning unsure of whether they will return home. Can one possibly know how it feels when you go to bed at night and don’t know if you are able to wake up in the morning? For eight years people in Donbass have not known if they can be alive one day to the next. The wish “good night” on the land of Donbass, acquired a special meaning.

Now I hear that Russians made people in Kiev sit in basements.

In Donbass, children have been sitting in basements for eight years, and those who live in the fighting line simply have been growing up in basements. For eight damn years!

I remember a woman from there who, in a moment of a temporary cessation of fighting, came out of the basement and went to the old monument dedicated to the Soviet soldier-liberator to pray and ask him to come and save their lives.

What a malicious howl rose from Ukrainian side on social networks when they burned Odessa and dropped shells on Lugansk, how they rejoiced at the death of the beautiful Lugansk woman and the death of the Gorlovka Madonna with her baby, whom they called “larva”. Has the West noticed those atrocities and the Ukrainian reaction to them? A very few alternative sources were brave enough to write about it.

Now the Western press is writing and broadcasting on TVs about the unfortunate Ukraine, but where have you been with your philanthropy all these eight years?

Why was no one outraged when Poroshenko publicly and maliciously declared: “Our children will go to kindergartens and schools, and your's [Donbass children] will sit in basements”.

Instead, you have the cynicism to post a picture of Donetsk after the shelling by Tochka U on March 14, with the caption "Kiev", so those who read your deceitful source would think that this is Russians shelling Kiev.
Well, to be fair, Italian journalists condemned the publication with a photo of the shelling of Donetsk with the caption "Kiev", but what about the rest of the West?

Why doesn't the Western media tell its readers how Ukrainians a couple days ago used Tochka U missiles for shelling the city of Melitopol, knowing that Russian troops are not there, just a few soldiers. Who was their target ? The answer is - Ukrainian peaceful inhabitants.

I am getting a barage of calls and messages from my old American friends. Everybody is full of lies about the Russian military operation. When I try to give them the true information they don’t want to listen and stubbornly repeat that I was lied to. No, guys, I can’t be lied to, since I was in Donbass as a war correspondent, I made friends over there and now have a chance to get information straight from the front.

Almost all my American friends, people that I have known for a long, long time, stopped talking to me because of my personal position regarding this Russian military operation.Their attitude makes me consider them pure victims of western propaganda. The problem seems to be that they want to be victims of propaganda.

It's interesting that the same people who are so furious about Russia now supported the US when it spread its 'democracy' all over the world by killing millions of people, destroying large parts of the globe, bombing ancient cultures back to the stone age, and creating the largest refugee crisis since 1945.

When the military phase is over, investigations will begin and more facts will be revealed about those inhuman atrocities against the people that the SBU carried out in their torture chambers, about the war crimes committed by Armed Forces of Ukraine - the massacres of civilians and murdering their own Ukrainian soldiers who did not want to kill their compatriots.

I'm afraid even then the collective West will refuse the truth. Simply because it would have to admit that it was the West who created a monster out of Ukraine - an embittered weapon against Russia.

People's Militia of the DPR destroyed the stronghold of the 1st mechanized battalion of the 54th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the liberation of the city of Marinka.
