Reams have been written on the financial crisis and the yawning gulf between Wall Street and Main Street. This music video spells out the total injustice and indignation inherent in the "system" and reflects the fate of the millions of workers who believed in the American Dream and who have now been "let go".
In itself the video is heart breaking and, as you will see, there is a sense of helplessness as job and home are lost to serve the interests of "those on Wall Street".
It's not just a "cryin' shame" and about getting "fightin' mad" but a question of working people in the US rising up and not just protesting in the streets but going for it - that is, revolution against the capitalist system which is systematically destroying their lives.
The bastards who take these decisions but defend their own self-interest along with the "banksters" are the real criminals against the US working men and youth who have sacrificed themselves in the ongoing wars engaged in by the US since the mid 1800's.
Enough is enough. Organize labor (and I am not referring to the traditional unions) - the base has to take action, and take it now. This roller coaster will continue to head downhill despite all the screeds of guarded optimism coming out of The White House, the FED and the US Treasury.
What's going to be left for your sons and daughters, working people of the US? Low paid jobs, little or no Social Security, no Medicare or Medicaid, a police state virtually forcing everyone to buckle down and accept their human dignity being crushed as if they were cockroaches. We are heading back to the 1930's when company police knocked on the door, dragged you from you sick bed and forced you go to work.
C'mon WSWS have the balls to confront this and organize a revolution. "It's impossible," you might say. Well, I tell you guys, when you're old and infirm, you'll remember old Ramón's cry for ACTION as you live out your remaining days in a world of oppession, poverty, fear and most of all disgrace for not organizing your fellow US citizens to confront this social Armaggedon, when you had the opportunity to do so.
You know the Writing is on the Wall.

My daddy taught me in this country everyones the same.
You work hard for your dollar and you never pass the blame,
When it dont go your way.
Now I see all these big shots whining on my evening news,
About how their losing billions and its up to me and you
To come running to the rescue.
Well pardon me if I dont shed a tear.
There selling make believe and we dont buy that here.
Because in the real world their shuttin Detroit down,
While the boss man takes his bonus paid jets on out of town.
DCs bailing out them bankers as the farmers auction ground.
Yeah while there living up on Wall Street in that New York City town,
Here in the real world their shuttin Detroit down.
Here in the real world their shuttin Detroit down.
Well that old mans been working in that plant most all his life,
Now his pension plans been cut in half and he cant afford to die
And its a crying shame, cus he aint the one to Blame.
When I looked down to see his calloused hands,
Well let me tell you friend it gets me fightin mad.
Cause in the real world their shuttin Detroit down,
While the boss man takes his bonus paid jets on out of town.
DCs bailing out them bankers as the farmers auction ground.
Yeah while there living up on Wall Street in that New York City town,
Here in the real world their shuttin Detroit down.
Yeah while there living up on Wall Street in that New York City town,
Here in the real world their shuttin Detroit down.
Here in the real world their shuttin Detroit down,
In the real world their shuttin Detroit down.
