Has Kiev used chemical weapons in the East?

Reports emanating this evening (Eastern Standard Time) from Eastern Ukraine indicate the Ukraine army may have used chemical weapons today against the breakaway region now known as NovoRossiya.
Although this has yet to be confirmed by independent news agencies, people on the ground in Slovyansk say they were subjected to a fog of yellowish gas that caused throat irritations, headaches, and nausea. The gas is said to have been released on ordinary citizens, including women, children, and the elderly.
If true, the newly installed government in Kiev will have some explaining to do. More important, the US and NATO have an even greater burden of explanation. This is precisely the behaviour that they alleged to have been perpetrated by the government of Syria. And, in that case, the West believed this was reason enough to attempt the overthrow of the elected Syrian government.
The problem is, the West has already manipulated the overthrow of the elected Ukraine government. They may have installed someone with the same moral compass that they criticized (but never proved) in Syria.
