Colombia’s presidential election could determine the fate of the historic peace deal ending their 53-year civil war. While most in the country want to honor the agreement, Colombia’s right wing has been a fervent opponent.

Colombia's election was held May 27 with the result producing no clear winner. A run-off vote is scheduled for June 17.

Abby Martin's interview took place shortly before the initial vote but her coverage is especially important due to the run-off which pits a clear hard-right candidate (Iván Duque) against the leftist former mayor of Bogotá (Gustavo Petro).
