Since the advent of Hollywood and on to TV and now screens virtually everywhere from the palm of a hand to above the gas pump modern America addicted to visual culture ... yet lacking vision outward and inner.
Perfumes, colognes, scented candles the favored scents, the flavored scents typically with romantic associations, while natural scents emanating from the human body squelched with deodorants (sometimes for good reason) ... Greenhouse air energizes as does the warm moist air rising from Earth-soil in Springtime. The average smells of anywhere too-often foul or nasal muzak.
Loud sounds, 24-7 talking heads, car drivers who think they are the concert hall, radios blaring at delis, jumpy music in the early hours of the day, rarely serene music any time. Summertime cacophonic screaming of mowers, blowers and weed-wackers. Bird calls?
Taste mostly tasteless, supermarket breads and foods depleted of flavor (especially tomatoes) and nutrients yet an abundance of flavored coffees, lattes, ice creams, the flavor of the month because lacking flavors every day, autumnal supermarkets everything pumpkin. Not to mention tasteless behaviors. Winter the taste (and feel) of a snowflake on a child's tongue.
Pay for touch of foot and full body massage yet most of society hands-off and teachers hugging hurting children risk their jobs yet touchy-feely Biden running for prez-dispenser ― we've lost touch with the joy of touch that incarnating in the physical world brings, some religions blasphemed touching of self and condemned awareness of reincarnation (Council of Nicea circa 325 A.D.) yet to incarnate is to become meat again and who doesn't want to touch some meat? … c'mon vegans you know you do, even football players hug, quarterbacks putting their hands in delicate situations, hug a tree, hug a friend, hug the plumber?! the checkout girl?!
The sixth sense sneered at yet Nikola Tesla had visions of 'his' inventions, many artists and engineers known for dreaming ideas, solutions, blueprints, or genie-us coming from the in-between spaces before sleep and when first waking-up to help all of us.
What'll it be: Intuition or a lifetime paying-back college tuition?
common sense
Nikola Tesla in the early 1930s in The Brooklyn Eagle and the Philadelphia Public Ledger:
"I have harnessed the cosmic rays and caused them to operate a motive device. More than 25 years ago I began my efforts to harness the cosmic rays and I have succeeded. Electric power is everywhere present, in unlimited qualities. This new power for the driving of the world's machinery will be derived from the energy which operates in the universe, without the need for coal, gas, oil, or any other fuel."*
