at the beach
grains of sand giving a silent talk
about abundance

shore’s edge –
looking through the water
. . . seeing pebbled sands

the youth
looking through lies . . .
seeing the truth

capitalism’s footprints in the sand,
when the water comes
they’ll be gone

water laps the shore
the sounds
of one world’s heartbeat
