Kōan Fragments of a Distorted World #13 (with a nod to Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s book "Pictures of the Gone World")

Little did I know back in the the 20th century whenever it was I first experienced the salad bar sneeze-guard (first on the restaurant scene in 1958) that the invention would morph into the covid-blocker acrylic window, a major player in the current-day shopping, post office, etc. experience. Banks were ahead of the curve, but that’s for another reason. Or is it? Because the obscene transfer of wealth that has happened during acrylic-shielded virus-times equates to the title of a book by William K. Black: The Best Way to Rob a Bank Is to Own One.

“misinformation” and “disinformation” are trending as the new ‘oh that’s a conspiracy theory!’ which is one of the biggest sad jokes considering how much of the media and history books are just that –– misinformation.

While at the same time I know that the power of language is sacred and can be used to heal or harm, sometimes I wish people would just say whatever the heck they want as a way to vent non-violently, and you’re not allowed to object to what gets said. The amount of destruction and violence that goes on in the world does not cause as much societal-media-plex outrage as when someone uses the N word (for example, attempts to ban Twain's Huck Finn) or the C word (which I've read of some women saying it doesn't offend them).

Though one issue with mega-podcaster (also a comedian) Joe Rogan revolves around supposed covid “misinformation,” as to the N word, “Rogan added that he hadn’t used the word in years, before saying he found it “kind of weird, people will get really mad if you use that word and tweet about it on a phone that’s made by slaves.”

The phrase that comes to mind is: “Stick and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.” Yet names can hurt or create false stereotypes, as witness the efforts by Native Peoples to rid sports teams of their disrespectful mascot names. The Washington football team is now the Commanders which, while an improvement, still speaks to the mindset status of the colonizers. At least it's not the Commanders-in-Chiefs.

And speaking of colonizers, I question the current usage of the activist mantra “speak truth to power” when the so-called powers mostly act like idiots who refuse to listen or change their ways. Personally, I prefer to speak and/or listen to a tree that has true power, or ask non-physical beings to help out, though occasionally I do write a letter, sign a petition, call the town, for example, to let them know that it may have been the garbage truck, because I noticed that the street was partially rainbowed with an oil leak after the pickup route.

Cases in big-league idiots point, recent headlines at CommonDreams:

"'Class Warfare' in Action: Amazon Dodged $5.2 Billion in Taxes in 2021”

and

“'Obscene': BP Profits Hit 8-Year High Amid Climate Emergency”

Are there more choices for affecting change? Are there better tactics? Where does one best put one's energies? I suppose these are questions each of us must answer.

According to Albert Einstein, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.” By that definition the fossil fuel and other corporations are insane. Considering worldwide protests of varying kinds, either the Peoples or the governments are insane, too; and since many governments are in league with corporations, I figure that the Peoples are sane, or else perhaps becoming insane if they keep protesting and not getting results.

What happens in Ottawa with the trucker convoy could have a big impact as to what Peoples worldwide do or don't do next. Either way, we need to hear more from sane people, from the likes of five-year-olds who haven't gone insane, and elders who have stayed sane, and common folk with common sense, as I heard the truckers described in a video report by a common person. That those age-brackets and types are rarely ever heard from via the bobble-head on speed corporate-media-societal-complex shouts insane volumes.
