To the Bridge at No Gun Ri

We fight the corporations' battles

In the air on land and sea.

To the secret torture cell

We'll transform each quiet village

Into an everlasting Hell.

With bombs and guns for hire

We have sworn our allegiance

To this Fascist Empire.

1. There will be endless wars. Wars are good for corporate profits.

2. There will be a total de-valuation of human life.  A half million children died because of the US blockade of Iraq, 13,000 civilians have been killed in Iraq since March 20, 2003, and there is rarely a mention of the loss of civilian lives in the Media.  Have we become a nation that is totally desensitized to the suffering of others ? 

3. A propensity toward violence will be thought of as a virtue and taught to children...war toys, wrestling, boxing, football, etc. This prepares the youth of the nation to fight in the military.

4. There will not be a Livable Wage for workers because corporations benefit when there is a pool of desperate workers on the bottom of the economic scale. In the US, people are not poor, homeless, and hungry because of a massive natural disaster, such as the Irish potato famine. In the US, people are poor because of corporate greed. This is a conscious decision made possible by the Perfect Storm of the union of government and corporations.

6. There must be limits on the freedom of thought.  An efficient way of achieving this is through control of the mainstream media but an even more important, and often over-looked issue, is the control of the message being taught in government schools. ALL public schools are government schools. The message in government schools is controlled through textbook selection policies and an intolerance for a wide range of political views. When the time comes for the People to take control,  they will bring about an immediate end to the public school system. It will be replaced with a single-payer, universal, K through grad school decentralized system of education which would include many different types, private schools, home schools, neighborhood schools, etc. Right now, most public schools are inhibiting real education. If you don't believe that, ask the average teacher in an average school, "What is the historical significance of the Bridge at No Gun Ri?" You cannot teach the facts of history, if you don't know the facts of history. The problem is NOT that most teachers and so-called journalists are conspiring to mis-lead and distort the truth. The problem is that they don't know how much they don't know. FOX news is not the cause of the problem. It is the result. If people were well informed FOX, NBC and the rest of mainstream media would not air the meaningless, mind-numbing programming.

7. No opposition political party will be allowed. The rules for ballot access must be constructed to insure that a Corporate Party will always win.

8. No open Presidential Debates will be allowed.

9. The Military-civilian complex will be so intertwined that civilians will be economically dependent on the military for jobs in many communities.  Military bases will be located in areas surrounded by a civilian population.  Institutions of higher learning will profit financially from a relationship with the military.  How much does that relationship contaminate the academic atmosphere ? Does anyone know how many military related activities took place in the World Trade Center ?   Did the CIA have office space there ?   Did the financial operations that took place there contribute to the military ? 

10. When corporations rule, the people must be kept sufficiently numbed so that they do not know or care about the real world. Recently the Olympics did a good job of that, and then there will be football season, basketball, baseball, hockey, and soccer... All of this, while people are being slaughtered every day.
