deceitful men

can bravery be measured
in the military measure
by the slaughter of a lesser foe?
does freedom need defending
from imaginary threats
does liberty sell it's soul
to the highest bidder?
will dissent to political madness
brand the dissenter an easy mark
and target for the mass market
demagogue?
if the questions are all silenced
does that proclaim the end
and does an end then indicate
the imposition of tyranny?
are the means ever justified
by deceitful men?
