Empire or Democracy
An Empire
Has but one leader
That has all control
And separates the rich from the bottom feeder
The people have no say
When it comes to their countrys well being
And they only see
What their leader wants them seeing
That leader has the power
To put you and your family in prison
Without a right to a trial
And forget about a constitution
A democracy
Where all are treated equal
Where power is shared
With that countrys people
No one person
Holds all the power
So corruption is not so easy to accomplish
Instead justice and prosperity blooms like a flower
Where you have the right to speak out
Without fear of persecution
Where your innocent until proven guilty
No matter the situation
Which direction is our country heading?
How many democracies have survived?
Then look in history and see
How many Empires have died.
