Mommy
Mommy,
What's a bomb?
Is it a bad thing?
Is it wrong?
Mommy,
What does greed mean?
Is it a new toy?
Can it even be seen?
Mommy,
What's a war?
Is it that thing you use,
to mop the floor?
And here you thought,
that the hardest question you'd be asked
Was "Where do babies come from?"
I guess that's a thing of the past.
I wonder not about when they ask.
Not the exact day.
No, I wonder instead,
Of what I'll have to say.
